What I should be doing…

Is a laundry list of stuff – oh that reminds me add fold laundry to my list.  But I can’t seem to find the motivation. This is typical ME!  I wait to last minute, freak out, get a headache/migraine, doing it and end up realizing it was too simple to not have just done it in the first place.  See I can see my own pattern and hear I sit still procrastinating… but we will get back to that later. Pretty much so I can put it off a bit longer 🙂

Today’s workout:

was sweating in my own juices while my kids had swimming lessons, getting them in and out of the car a dozen times, and outside taking care of the animals.  That counts today because it was too damn HOT!  Okay, well it has cooled off and I feel like some yoga so probably after I’m done here.

Food:

Maybe it was the heat, but I just wasn’t feeling hungry today.  I drank coffee and water this morning. After the swimming lessons we had a picnic.  I ate half a turkey sandwich on a thin wheat bread with mustard and onions, munched on some pretzels and peeled and orange but only ate a slice thanks to the kiddos.  On my way home I stopped and got a Starbucks venti americano with a sweetener and a splash of fat free milk… I drank half!  What a waste!

For dinner I BBQed (I refuse to turn the oven on in this heat!) sweet italian turkey brats, yams, and from the garden (ah-thank-you) brocolli and green onions tossed in oil and basalmic vinegar {insert picture here because I can’t}.  After it was done cooking I just wasn’t feeling it.  I decided to dish up the boys and get a head start on the animals…. when I came back THE MONKEY’S HAD EATEN IT ALL!!!!!  Oh well I still wasn’t feeling it, but it still left me shocked!

I mossied out to the garden and munched on some sugar snaps while picking canning peas.  I found a decent sized carrot and ate it, and then found a beet that was ready and ate that too.  Dinner!  Desert was a handful of strawberries I picked from my strawberry mound.  Oh so sweet!

So the things I should be doing, but I am putting off you ask:

  1. shelling and canning peas
  2. dehydrating peas
  3. making and jarring up cherry pie filling
  4. getting my cabbage ferminting – as in making sourkraut
  5. folding laundry
  6. cleaning my toilet

My husband is bringing home cherries from our friends on Thursday, but I just couldn’t wait and bought some from an organic orchard here in town.  I assumed they were all the same, but apparently only 1 out of the 4 that I bought was a sweet cherry, the rest are tart….. duh Amber!  But I need get rid of them before I am overwhelmed with more cherries.  Can we say procrastinator!??!

Funny Cry For Help Ecard: Yep, I'm essentially just repeating the same destructive patterns.

There is books out there…. maybe I’ll get one.

No Phone, No Camera, No Problem?

As of right now the only form of communication I have is email.  Well that and AIM if I could get my friends and family to go that old school with me.

They suck & I am awesome!

Well my stupidphone wasn’t “smart” enough to play music and take an incoming call.  It died and very quick and painless death.

So I have no phone which is alright except I realize how much I love having Google Search at my fingertips.  I like to look up odd things that pop into my head.  Now I have to try to remember them all for when I sit down at the computer… which god knows is tough when you have dementia pregnancy brain ( I can still use that if I haven’t been pregnant in 3 years right!?!?)  Oh well I am using it.

Moving on…

I was super stoked because I took the camera on our backpacking trip; I was even more stoked because I REMEMBERED to take pictures on our backpacking trip.  I had some kick ass pictures of the mountains, the kiddos fishing, chopping down a hazardous tree, blah, blah, blah… but when we went to dismantle the boys’ tent, my husband found the camera itself dismantled and stashed in a sleeping bag.  Sneaky twins.  The camera turned on, but it wouldn’t read the memory card.

Fast forward to today.  My husband emailed (texting is overrated and email is how cool couples stay in touch) me and informed me that he took the camera into Office Depot.  Where they laughed at him and told him that our camera and memory card are so old that they don’t even make them anymore.

Time to update? Damn, we just bought that camera in 2006!!  I don’t know if the pictures from our trip are on our ancient memory card, but if they are, I will put it in our equally ancient printer and get them on the computer!!!

Well the thunder and lightning they promised is moving in rather quickly.  My spaztastic lab is frantically running around the house wanting me to let her in so she can attempt to cram her fat ass under the twins’ mini bunk beds.  Will do, because it makes me laugh… and because I luvs her 🙂

Kick in the Butt!!!

This morning I have sat around being lazy reading inspiring blogs to get inspirated!  I have compeletly lost my motivation…. and I really beed to find it!  This past week has been a total bust, and I haven’t worked out AT ALL!

This week we are going backpacking for the 4th of July.  The place we wanted to go is still covered in snow, so we picked somewhere lower and easier.  It is 1.5 miles which will be easier for the kiddos.  But I am worried about myself.  UHG! What a week can do 😦

MY KICK IN THE BUTT:

1. Start getting up at 5am

2.  Plan what I will be eating before hand

3.  Workout and hr a day

I’m really excited about hiking this week.  I’m sure it will give me the boost I need to get back on track!
