What I should be doing…

Is a laundry list of stuff – oh that reminds me add fold laundry to my list.  But I can’t seem to find the motivation. This is typical ME!  I wait to last minute, freak out, get a headache/migraine, doing it and end up realizing it was too simple to not have just done it in the first place.  See I can see my own pattern and hear I sit still procrastinating… but we will get back to that later. Pretty much so I can put it off a bit longer 🙂

Today’s workout:

was sweating in my own juices while my kids had swimming lessons, getting them in and out of the car a dozen times, and outside taking care of the animals.  That counts today because it was too damn HOT!  Okay, well it has cooled off and I feel like some yoga so probably after I’m done here.

Food:

Maybe it was the heat, but I just wasn’t feeling hungry today.  I drank coffee and water this morning. After the swimming lessons we had a picnic.  I ate half a turkey sandwich on a thin wheat bread with mustard and onions, munched on some pretzels and peeled and orange but only ate a slice thanks to the kiddos.  On my way home I stopped and got a Starbucks venti americano with a sweetener and a splash of fat free milk… I drank half!  What a waste!

For dinner I BBQed (I refuse to turn the oven on in this heat!) sweet italian turkey brats, yams, and from the garden (ah-thank-you) brocolli and green onions tossed in oil and basalmic vinegar {insert picture here because I can’t}.  After it was done cooking I just wasn’t feeling it.  I decided to dish up the boys and get a head start on the animals…. when I came back THE MONKEY’S HAD EATEN IT ALL!!!!!  Oh well I still wasn’t feeling it, but it still left me shocked!

I mossied out to the garden and munched on some sugar snaps while picking canning peas.  I found a decent sized carrot and ate it, and then found a beet that was ready and ate that too.  Dinner!  Desert was a handful of strawberries I picked from my strawberry mound.  Oh so sweet!

So the things I should be doing, but I am putting off you ask:

  1. shelling and canning peas
  2. dehydrating peas
  3. making and jarring up cherry pie filling
  4. getting my cabbage ferminting – as in making sourkraut
  5. folding laundry
  6. cleaning my toilet

My husband is bringing home cherries from our friends on Thursday, but I just couldn’t wait and bought some from an organic orchard here in town.  I assumed they were all the same, but apparently only 1 out of the 4 that I bought was a sweet cherry, the rest are tart….. duh Amber!  But I need get rid of them before I am overwhelmed with more cherries.  Can we say procrastinator!??!

There is books out there…. maybe I’ll get one.
