I tend to be a scale freak… I may have said that before. Now I know scales are the worst thing to go by, because it only tells you one thing. But when you whole life you have been judged by that damn scale (for me it was the drs and health class) I seem to have a vendetta with it! As of lately though I have been staying clear and focusing on weight training and jogging, knowing that weight training will put muscle on and the scale fluctuate -which will flustrate me and throw me off track. This week I had a little preview of what staying off the scale and going by “clothes fitting right” feels like….
At the beginning of April I went to a soap making class in Spokane. My friend and I hit up the thrift stores and I scored a Hurley brand dress!!! It was only $2.99 and in great condition. The only problem was that it was WAY to snug around my fupa** I bought it anyway because hell it was a Hurley dress for $2.99 and I knew I would get into someday!!
Thursday was 101 degrees here (hey ma nature I would have liked to see spring) and the thought of wearing jeans sickened me so on a long shot I put on the dress…. It FIT!!! I had to wear legging underneath it as I work with little kids and bend a lot, but I didn’t care!!!
Speaking of Vendettas:
I said our cat got attacked by something with tallons last week, well his wound it healing up all nice, but he feels he must eradicate poor flying birds now!!! Sunday night he killed a mama bird that had a nest outside our front door, Monday I pulled the nest down to find 5 little babies in there…. now just so you know, it is illegal in the state of Washington to rehab or care for a migrating bird SO luckily for the birdies (and me) I found a licensed person to raise them, then she will bring them back to our house to set free!!!
** If your offended by the term fupa I apologize, but it is what it is and that’s what it is! If you don’t know what that is —> urbandictionary.com it. My apologizes again!!
